Welcome back we hope you had a lovely summer break & welcome to all our new families
Pre-School’s website is now live at newhallpreschool.co.uk. Over the next few weeks we will be collating information and photos to add to the website.
Please see Tina or Sharon if you would like to see any other information on the website.
Names in Clothing & School Bags
We ask that all bags and items of clothing likely to be removed, e.g coats, jumpers and cardigans are labelled clearly with the child’s name. We encourage each child to recognise their own coat/bag etc but as many styles are the same we ask that they be labelled to avoid confusion.
Payment of Fees
From September 2016, fees are £7.50 per session and we ask that all fees are paid 2 weeks in advance, you can pay either by cash or by cheque (cheques to be made payable to Newhall Pre-school with the cheque guarantee number on the reverse). Please ensure that your fees are paid on entry to pre-school as receipts are to be given out. Also please note that fees are still payable if your child is off due to holidays or illness.
The neighbours have requested that you please use the bottom orchard street car park when dropping off and collecting your children. If you do need to use Higgins Road we ask that you respect the neighbours wishes and do not block their drive-ways or use their drives to turn, as this as been causing problems for the residents, especially one resident who is disabled and their family and carer’s need access at all times. Also we ask that the driveway up to preschool is kept clear at all times as it is used on a daily basis as disabled access for one of our children.
Collection of Children:
Please ensure your child is collected promptly at the end of the session. To cover costs we charge a late pick up fee of £2.50 for every ten minutes a child is left. If you need to get in touch with Pre-School to let us know of a problem the telephone number is 01283 216389.
We use our new outdoor space available to us as much as possible. We would ask that for the Health and Safety of the children can you please ensure they are dressed appropriately for the weather. Please remember suitable coats & footwear etc for the rainy days and sunhats, sun cream for the sunny days. Also could you make sure children are wearing suitable shoes at all times as we take our sports equipment outside and the children struggle to take part in the activities if they are not wearing suitable footwear.
Bad Weather Closures:
In the event of heavy snowfalls please check our website newhallpreschool.co.uk or listen to Touch FM in the morning to find out if Pre-School is open. If Newhall Infant & Nursery School or Newhall Community Junior School are CLOSED, Pre-School will also be closed. Touch FM can be found at 101.6 or 102.4 FM. We would like to apologise for short notice of closures we do our best to inform parents of closures as fast as we can after the decision to close as been made. Sorry for any inconvenience
